In a significant development for Türkiye’s defense sector, five of its defense companies have been recognized in the 2026 global Top 100 defense companies ranking. This achievement underscores the nation’s expanding capabilities in defense manufacturing and its increasing reach in export markets. ASELSAN has led the charge among Turkish firms, climbing to 40th position from 43rd last year. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) secured the 48th spot, while ARCA Defense made its debut at 53rd place.
Roketsan also made notable progress, advancing from 71st to 64th, and MKE found its position at 81st. Collectively, these five companies reported a defense revenue of approximately $14.9 billion in 2025, showcasing their substantial contribution to the industry. ASELSAN generated $4.46 billion, followed by TAI with $3.65 billion. Meanwhile, ARCA Defense brought in $3 billion, Roketsan earned $2.37 billion, and MKE accumulated $1.42 billion in defense revenues.
This growth trajectory can be attributed to the rising global demand for Turkish defense products. Over recent years, Türkiye has successfully broadened its defense industry to encompass a variety of sectors, including military electronics, aerospace engineering, missile systems, and ammunition production, among other advanced technological fields.
The recent rankings highlight Türkiye’s strengthening position in the international defense arena, demonstrating its enhanced capacity to innovate, develop, and sell an extensive array of defense systems worldwide. This upward trend in the rankings not only reflects the strategic advancements within the Turkish defense industry but also signals its pivotal role in the global market landscape.
