Solustiq, a software and artificial intelligence firm based in Turkey, has announced its emergence as the nation’s first vertical AI company tailored specifically for the global travel and tourism industry. With its headquarters in Edirne and additional offices in Istanbul and Dubai, Solustiq is creating the much-needed AI infrastructure for the world’s largest service sector. Despite contributing more than $11 trillion to the global GDP and employing one in ten workers worldwide, the travel and tourism industry has lagged behind in technological advancement. While general-purpose AI models continue to capture most of the attention, Solustiq is part of a burgeoning sector of “vertical AI” companies—startups that design AI solutions specifically for the nuanced needs of individual industries.

In contrast to the typical, one-size-fits-all AI chatbots, Solustiq aims to provide AI that understands the intricacies of the travel sector, such as GDS systems, hotel inventory APIs, and regulatory frameworks like TURSAB. “The travel industry doesn’t need another general-purpose chatbot,” says Alper Tekin, Solustiq’s Founder and CEO. “It needs AI that understands the operational rhythm of a tour operator at 3 a.m. when a flight gets canceled.” Solustiq’s approach diverges from the single-product SaaS model. Instead, the company offers a suite of AI-native products targeting various layers of the travel technology stack, including DataGreat, SkilledAgents, VibePy, and Vuln0x. Each product addresses a specific challenge within the travel value chain but shares a foundation built on domain-specific training data and industry-standard protocols.

Solustiq’s commitment to vertical AI isn’t merely a theoretical exercise. The company’s sister venture, Safaryar Holidays—a TURSAB-licensed B2B hotel wholesaler and destination management company based in Istanbul—serves as both a customer and a testing ground for its AI platform. Agency partners across Europe, the Gulf region, and Central Asia regularly use Solustiq’s tools, providing invaluable real-world feedback that many B2B SaaS companies take years to gather. Additionally, Solustiq manages more than 90 travel-related domains, including prominent sites like hagiasophia.com and galatatower.com, which serve as channels for AI-generated travel insights.

According to Tekin, 2026 will be a pivotal year for vertical AI in the travel industry, driven by three main factors. First is the disruption of legacy GDS companies such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport by new AI-native infrastructure providers. Secondly, the economic model of “build vs. buy” is shifting, allowing smaller travel agencies to afford AI solutions at SaaS pricing. Finally, regulatory developments in the EU and Turkey, including Turkey’s Cybersecurity Law 7545, are pushing for modernization in travel sector infrastructure. “We’re not asking the travel industry to adopt AI,” Tekin notes. “We’re asking it to choose between vertical AI built by industry insiders or horizontal AI from outsiders.”

Solustiq, officially known as Solustiq Yazılım ve Yapay Zeka Teknolojileri A.Ş., is a vertical AI company focused on developing AI-native software for the global travel and tourism sector. Founded by Alper Tekin, the company operates from Edirne, Turkey, with additional offices in Istanbul and Dubai. Solustiq’s product portfolio includes DataGreat, SkilledAgents, VibePy, and Vuln0x, and it benefits from Tekin’s experience in running TURSAB-licensed B2B travel operations through Safaryar Holidays.
